TUI NA Uses rhythmic compression along energy channels of the body, as well as a variety of techniques that manipulate and lubricate the joints, like acupressure. Tui Na directly affects the flow of energy by holding and pressing the body at acupuncture points. It focuses on specific problems and is especially effective for joint pain in the back, neck and shoulders. Tui Na can be helpful with insomnia, constipation, headaches and tension associated with stress. Tui Na is very effective for treating various ailments in infants and children. ACUPUNCTURE The intent of acupuncture therapy is to promote health and alleviate pain. The perspective from which an acupuncturist views health and sickness hinges on concepts of "vital energy", "energetic balance" and "energetic imbalances". Just as a Western medical doctor monitors the blood flow through the blood vessels and the messages traveling through the nervous system, the acupuncturist assesses the flow and distribution of this "vital energy" within pathways, known as meridians and channels.
ACUPRESSURE Balances the bodies energy by applying pressure to specific points along energy channels. The term "pressure" is misleading, since acupressure actually uses a very light touch. A practitioner uses their fingertips to make contact with the body, But it's the contact thats important not the amount of pressure. As with Tui Na, children respond very well to treatment with acupressure.

Cupping is the process of placing glass cups on the skin, held in place by suction, to draw up impurities from the underlying tissues. When the cup is left in place on the skin for a few minutes, blood stasis is relieved and localized healing takes place. Cupping therapy has been further developed as a means to open the meridians of the body. Meridians are the conduits in the body through which energy flows to every part of the body and through every organ and tissue. There are five meridians on the back that, when opened, allow invigorating energy to travel the entire length of the body. It has been found that cupping is one of the best ways of opening those meridians. Cupping has also been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing the release of toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activates the skin, clears stretch marks and improve varicose veins.
